L. Steven Platt, Partner
Since joining Arnold and Kadjan in 1981, Mr. Platt has represented Taft-Hartley, union, construction and trade fringe benefit funds. An AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, he was recently cited as of the top five attorneys in the field by Chambers and Partners, Ltd, an independent rating service., who called him “a consummate trial lawyer” and a “practical and articulate lawyer who knows what the issues are.” Mr. Platt has handled cases for clients in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois, Colorado and California.
He has lectured with and published articles with the International Employee Benefit Foundation (IEBF) and has lectured for national IEBF seminars on various ERISA and friend benefit fund topics. He has also lectured for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Education (IICLE).
Mr. Platt has been involved in four U.S. Supreme Court cases and one Illinois Supreme Court case. Prior to joining Arnold and Kadjan, Mr. Platt worked in the Administrative Law field.
